As a Field Technician, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning engineering, construction management, and design-build project delivery. We are looking for a passionate Field Technician in the Kansas City area who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo. You’ll provide support and assistance in the routine set-up, assembly, and/or installation of components of portions of equipment; occasionally makes simple repairs as directed.

As part of our project team, the responsibilities of this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Under direct supervision, assists technical specialists, scientists, engineers or more senior technicians by performing tasks that are routine and repetitive in nature with no nonstandard situations.

  • Provides support and assistance in the routine set-up, assembly, and/or installation of components of portions of equipment; occasionally makes simple repairs as directed.

  • Since no prior practical experience is required, very limited judgment is required to perform most tasks as they are directly assigned by a more senior Technician.

  • Receives detailed instructions on all work assignments.

  • This is a learning role so there is little to independent action on the part of the incumbent.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Assists Field Leader in application of principles, methods, and techniques of condition assessment technology by performing the following duties:

  • Personal vehicle is required

  • Assist Field Leader in performing routine condition assessment of sanitary collection system

  • Document observations, location, tributary area, and other testing results for entry into the condition assessment database

  • Photograph and associate testing results for entry into GIS database

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have valid drivers license

  • Starts and stops small engines, to control and adjust flow and testing processes

  • Makes operating decisions in absence of supervisory personnel

  • Understands and carries out oral and written directions

  • Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work

  • Complies with Project Policies and Procedures

  • Prepares required reports and maintains complete record keeping procedures

  • Performs other duties as required

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
