Jacobs Technical Writer - Engineering (W/M/X) in Krakow, Poland

Your Impact:

At Jacobs, we're embarking on an exciting journey as we initiate the development of our Digital & Data Hub in the heart of Krakow. Our mission is to undertake projects spanning various industries, including Consumer and Manufacturing, Defence and Security, Energy and Utilities, Financial Services, Government and Public Services, Health and Life Sciences, and Transport.

In this role, you will be developing technical documentation for technology and cyber engineering projects. As a Technical Writer – Engineering, you will work with our team on cyber, network, and system engineers to develop high quality technical documentation. You will be responsible for working with program managers and technical engineering staff to develop different types of technical documentation ranging from CAD functional specifications to technical memos. You will have a strong writing capability and interpersonal skills to interpret complex engineering topics and produce clear technical writing products that can be delivered to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing Functional Specifications and Functional Requirement documentation

  • Understanding and Interpreting CAD Drawings

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio

  • Experience with creating Network Block Diagrams

  • Experience with developing Knowledge Base Articles

  • Experience with developing Technical Memo's

  • Experience with creating (SOP) Standard Operating Procedures

  • Experience with developing (SOW) Scope of Work documents

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • 1 year of technical writing experience

  • Strong English writing capabilities

  • Understanding of IT, network, cybersecurity concepts

  • Experience producing technical documentation on deadlines

Preferred:

  • 3 years of technical writing in engineering environment
