We are seeking a Structural/Bridge CADD Designer to join our Team in St. Louis, Missouri with a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset! When you join us, you’ll apply advanced CAD techniques and develop difficult complex structural/bridge layouts and design drawings utilizing either 2D or 3D CAD software.

In this role you will work independently and as a team working closely with Engineers and other disciplines to complete the most demanding design assignments. You may have the opportunity to serve as a Lead Designer on small to medium- sized projects as well.

As a key member of the team, you will utilize your expertise and a CAD workstation to prepare difficult and complex layout and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge. We’ll ask you to interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will understand and utilize more advanced software to complete assignments. You’ll prepare reinforcing details, bar schedules, and bill of materials. In this role you may assist in inspections of existing bridges and other structures under construction.

Additional responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Reviewing supplier data and supplier drawings, as required.

  • Developing and reviewing orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings.

  • Performing checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor.

  • Providing input and technical guidance for mentoring lower-level Designers working on the same and other projects.

  • Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited technical institute (or equivalent).

  • 10 years of related structural and bridge drafting experience.

  • Proficiency in Microstation and AutoCAD.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and/or Bluebeam.

  • Time management, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Open Road Designer experience
