As a result of an increasing portfolio of projects, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Designer / Engineer to join our Slovakian Office delivering work across Europe

You will be responsible for leading the Process design development for our projects. You will work within a multi-discipline team to deliver the process design and be responsible for a process engineering team for projects that you lead. This will include managing the process design delivery and being responsible for the delivery of key process engineering activities, process safety assessments, and taking a leading role in HAZOPs and design reviews. You will be responsible for ensuring our quality assurance processes are followed, that our process design meet the project requirements and our client’s expectations and assuring the technical integrity of our designs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Process Engineering Design Deliverables, for example: Technical Reports, Calculations, Drawings & Equipment Schedules;

  • Preparation of calculations, descriptions, specifications and drawings, including: preparation of balance sheets, PFD and P&ID diagrams;

  • Selection and dimensioning of pipelines, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc.;

  • Proactively generate value adding options within projects to offer to clients to improve both the chance of winning work and satisfaction with completed and ongoing work;

  • Issuing process documentation while maintaining quality requirements, schedule and budget;

  • Participation in project meetings;

  • Close cooperation with other industries, stakeholders, and the wider project team.

  • Employment on the basis of a full-time employment contract;

  • The ability to work in an office or a hybrid model (60% office : 40% home office - upon agreement with line manager);

  • 37.5 h weekly working time and fully cover meal vouchers;

  • Work in an experienced project team, on international/long-term projects in a company present in all areas of infrastructure;

  • Cooperation with engineers from foreign Jacobs’s offices;

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or equivalent;

  • Good verbal and written English;

  • Proven ability to deliver technical Process Design work;

  • Experience with relevant codes and standards;

  • Ability to use technological programs such as ASPEN or similar, and knowledge of PipeFlo, AFT Arrow, Fathom or similar programs is welcome;

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, Navisworks design-supporting software;

  • Knowledge of regulations, norms and standards related to design in the process industry;

  • The ability to identify and deploy, digital and data-based solutions.
