We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer to support a Cyber Security Operations environment for the Army. The candidate will be working primarily remote but must have the ability to support customer meetings in person in either Aberdeen or Adelphi, MD on an as needed basis.
Duties will include:
Defensive Cyber Operations and provide recommendations or solutions that meet those requirements for Microsoft Azure and O365 Cloud Service Offerings.
Work with CSSP teams to identify areas of improvements that take advantage of cloud enabled technologies to perform DCO mission.
Inform the CSSP teams of new and upcoming technologies that could enhance CSSP operations for cloud DCO, or in cloud for any CSSP operation.
Work with the CSSP teams to identify and implement new data ingestion and SIEM capabilities within Azure environments at IL4/5, IL6 and IL7.
Provide solutions for integrating data from external sources for inspection and analysis within the Azure cloud native tools as well as extracting data from Microsoft Cloud Service Offerings for ingest and analysis on third party platforms.
Make recommendations on solutions provided to the branch or CSSP
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance
DoD 8570 CSSP Infrastructure Support Certification (must have one of the following certifications: CEH OR CySA+ OR GICSP OR SSCP OR CHFI OR CFR OR Cloud+ OR CND)
2 years of experience in cloud engineering, building out environments and using the cloud native tools in Azure and other environments
3+ years of experience in cyber operations strongly preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and O365 Cloud Service Offerings; Sentinel, strongly desired.
Knowledge of Defensive Cyber Operations and Cyber Security
Physical Requirements: Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
Work Environment: General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines: General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance: Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
Other Essential Functions: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
