About the Opportunity

Like the UK Government, we are committed to tackling the climate emergency for the short term and long term. We believe that the holy grail of practical power is fusion power, it comes without pollution or global warming but with the capacity to produce huge amounts of energy whatever the weather. We want to play a part in helping get fusion power on the grid.

With funding increasing and opportunities multiplying in the fusion sector it is right that we evolve to meet our clients demands and continue to grow. Part of our evolution involves establishing a new part of our business to consolidate the leadership and orchestration of fusion efforts across our business.

The Fusion Business Development Manager will be responsible for building a strong pipeline of fusion work and continue to deliver on the strategy, moreover they will:

• Coordinate and communicate changes to the fusion vision and strategy

• Develop and communicate account plans for fusion clients

• Be responsible for building a healthy pipeline of work

• Lead on the production of strong proposals and value propositions

• Lead on the development of win-plans and partnering solutions

• Develop a strong marketing plan and coordinate participation in fusion conferences and lead an active social media presence

• Identifying and building a rapport with customers

• Project Management, Engineering or Scientific Degree

• Proven track record in growing a business and building strong relationships

• A hard-working can-do attitude with a mindset for growth

• Strong interpersonal skills

• A team-player with collaboration at the centre of what they do

• Must be willing to travel

• Based in the Northwest of England or in Culham (Oxford) area with remote working possible
