The Project involves the Construction of the entire transportation system, constructing and installing crucial infrastructure of Roads, Utility and Marine infrastructure for future residential, commercial, and retail developments.

Due to our continued growth in the region Jacobs is hiring a Planning Manager to work in a Programme Management Consultant capacity for a large infrastructure construction supervision contract in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Senior Planning Manager you will be responsible for supporting aspects of the Planning function.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and communicate the baseline schedule of works

  • Support the master schedule integrating all the design and construction packages

  • Support in identifying and highlighting risks/conflicts and capture them in the Project Risk Register

  • Exercise “What if” analysis to assess the impact of each change, variation, and potential event and suggest alternative directions or mitigation actions

  • Help prepare employer weekly & monthly progress reports

  • Oversee and manage the planning and scheduling risk and issues

  • Identify, track and log and monitor the critical issues during the design and construction project phases

  • Support in reviewing and commenting on the Consultants’ monthly Programmes and progress reports

  • Undertake review and provide assessment of the Consultant Extension Of Time claims; applying delay analysis methodologies

Here’s what you’ll need :

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • Previously held a Senior Planning position or equivalent within a consultant and/or contractor environmentAt least 2-years’ consultancy experience, ideally in a client representative capacityExperience of working on major civil infrastructure, utility networks, utility buildings and ideally marine projectsA bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalentMinimum of 5 years’ experience within the construction planning environmentExperience across the full project lifecycle with respect to planningGood understanding of the design process and construction methodologiesPrevious experience in identifying and managing project risks and mitigationsWell versed with construction extension of time claims and delay analysis methodologiesP6 experience is essentialIdeally reside in Abu Dhabi, or within a reasonable commuting distance of other Emirates
