We’re seeking a Junior Civil Designer/Drafter to join our Adelaide Transport team . Our team works on major road and rail projects mainly within South Australia, but also provides support for major road and rail projects for other states across the country. Recent projects delivered by the team include the Darlington Upgrade and the Northern Connector as part of the North-South Corridor in Adelaide. Potential future projects include the Main South Road Duplication and the Hove Level Crossing Removal Projects.
Under the guidance and mentorship of our senior designers you’ll develop the skills to forge a successful career in the Consulting Engineering industry, including:
Technical 3D model production using civil modelling software (OpenRoads,MX, 12D), within a team of technical staff.
Project drafting and assisting other project drafters in the set-up of drafting systems at the commencement of new projects.
Undertaking modelling and drafting reviews on projects to ensure a consistently high standard of drafting is being maintained.
Participating in all phases of project delivery, under the direction of Engineers, Project Managers and the Lead Designer.
Adhering to quality assurance processes and practices including document control and design verification.
Working within program and budget controls in order for the company to meet its commercial obligations.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Ideally, you'll have completed an Associate Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering at TAFE .
Key skills/requirements for this role include:
General understanding of drawing concepts
An aptitude to develop skills in civil modelling software and a passion for digital project delivery
Capable of working within a team environment or individually
