We're looking for a collaborative Assistant Project Manager to support our client's Design & Construction team. Based out of our client’s office in Albany, NY , you'll be assisting the Project Manager in performing technical and administrative functions in developing and completing the design and construction of capital improvement projects on behalf of the client. Such tasks include the review and interpretation of plans, specifications, addenda, bid materials, contracts and other related documents with recommendations to resolving issues and completing assignments. You’ll organize, conduct, and follow through with project meetings, including providing meeting materials such as agendas, meeting minutes and related materials. You’ll have an opportunity to work on active projects providing support with RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast and cost scheduling, preparation of change order review and review of payments. You’ll be tasked with ensuring the project moves ahead to completion according to client standards. You’ll ensure that proposals meet the client’s needs by providing effective, skilled project management to ensure project deliveries are within costs and on schedule.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or Project Management

  • 2 years of professional experience in multiple phases of design and project management with large scale construction building projects

  • Working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documentation such as plans, specifications, addenda, bid materials, contracts and other related construction documents

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Bluebeam

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills

  • Ability to work independently with a strong directive in taking initiative

  • Must be able to work overtime or extended work hours as needed

  • OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Experience with construction administration services on behalf of a design firm

  • Competency with AutoCAD and/or Revit

Essential Functions:

This position may require travel up to approximately 10% within New York State depending on the assignment. This travel may include overnight stays. Exposure to weather and temperatures extremes, loud noises, heights (climbing ladder, scaffolding, etc.) and other work-safety hazards (chemicals, fumes, etc.) of a construction site. This position requires physical mobility (movement from place to place), strength, dexterity, and coordination as well as endurance, concentration (prolonged physical activity with limited opportunity to rest) and complex and time-pressured decision-making.

The base salary range for this position is $50,960 to $85,280. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
