Our facilities mechanical/tool install designers support a collaborative multi-disciplinary group with the layout and design of mechanical systems for the installation of mechanical equipment, systems, and semiconductor tools.
As a Mechanical/Tool Install Designer in Albany, NY you will have the chance to provide technical and application support for our engineering and design group. Working with other members of our team, you'll assist with developing mechanical and tool installation design packages, defining requirements for the systems, completing calculations related to sizing and selecting systems and general equipment arrangements. You’ll be responsible for coordinating design details, field verification of existing systems as well as training and mentoring less experienced tool install designers. You will have the opportunity to interact directly with the client’s tool owners, constructors, and other stakeholders.

Drafts, designs and models system equipment and components, and/or modifies existing designs to develop or improve them under the supervision of the lead designer, design engineer, or lead engineer.
Under the general supervision of the lead designer, design engineer, or lead engineer, perform drafting, design, and modelling tasks for the design of facility, base build, or tool install systems. Tasks are assigned to develop experience and expand the practical application of the employee’s knowledge.
Able to read and comprehend schematic diagrams and draw/model that content using AutoCAD and/or 3D modelling software.
Working knowledge of the following software’s: Revit/CADWorx, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Scene or similar, MS office suite.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Associates Degree (AA) or higher in computer aided design/drafting or equivalent experience
(3) or more years of mechanical HVAC and/or piping design experience
(3) or more years of AutoCAD experience
(1) or more years of semiconductor tool install design experience
(1) or more years Navisworks experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

(3) or more years of semiconductor design experience
(2) or more years Navisworks experience
(2) or more years 3D design experience with Revit and/or CADWorx
