Jacobs is seeking a SharePoint Developer/Administrator for the Alexandria, VA office. We are in search of an effective and innovative individual to join our team, whose goal is to assist a federal agency further their strategic mission and modernize its SharePoint platform and services, while providing excellent levels of customer service. Duties will include:
Monitor, diagnose and provide solutions for the day-to-day SharePoint application use
Promptly troubleshoots issues and provide tier 2/3 support to end users
Manages all activity pertaining to the maintenance of SharePoint farm, including patching, cumulative updates, etc.
Develop tailored SharePoint solutions leveraging Out of the Box components as well as customized elements as needed
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts used to manage\support the O365 environment for multiple apps--Azure, SharePoint, Groups.
Perform system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup/restore, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Assist in the design, architecture, availability, reliability, and security of future SharePoint environments and work with customers to document administrative tasks and verify SLA.
Work closely with development staff to provide advice and support to correctly implement development efforts as well as Intranet and Internet-facing public websites.
Provide expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining current Windows Server Products including SQL, IIS, .NET Environments, and File and Print server
US Citizenship – must be able to obtain a public trust clearance
BS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of progressive experience, or an MS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline, and seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline, and two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience.
8 years of professional software development experience and demonstrated technical excellence and creativity using SharePoint
Ability to develop SQL Server Views and Stored procedures and optimize them for performance
Experience developing applications that implement workflows
Experience with root cause analysis and defect resolution in a production environment.
Strong communication skills with both internal team members and business stakeholders
Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members
Requires a BS Degree in IT related field
Experience in Scrum(agile) development
Experience building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
Experience with MS Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems and processes
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
