AUTOMOTIVE BREADBOARD TECHNICIAN

The Breadboard Test Technicianis an integral part of the vehicle development process. You will usecutting edge technology to help create the vehicles of tomorrow.
T his is an entry level position with opportunity to learn and grow with Jacobs. You will receive comprehensive training in a fully equipped testing lab, interacting with engineers and senior level techs.
BRIEF OUTLINEOF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Workwith the installation and assembly of electrical instrumentation, modules,sensors, power supplies, load boxes, inverters etc.
Fabricatebreadboards and build up to test ready
Troubleshoot breadboard issues and provide customer support
Useoscilloscopes/meters/logic analyzers to diagnose/troubleshoot electrical issues
Checkoutelectrical systems and verify per specification/drawings
Designtest fixtures, harnesses and test boxes to meet client specifications
Developnew test fixtures/loads to simulate vehicle components
Specifyand select electrical components to support electrical designs
Safetyof yourself, all personnel, and the lab In this position, you are a full-time employee of Jacobs. This isNOT a contract position.

MINIMUMEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Highschool diploma required.
Knowledgeableand proficient with hands on automotive work
Strongknowledge of automotive parts and subsystems and how the systems work/interact
Electricalbackground, strong and proficient understanding of electrical automotivesystems, schematics, excellent soldering skills
Knowledgeof the vehicle CAN bus and various other communication tools
Stronginstrumentation background, build custom cables, connectors etc.
Strongbackground in computers, Microsoft office programs (CAD, VIZO, MATLAB, SolidWorks a plus)
GoodFabrication and Machining abilities
Excellentcommunication skills, both verbal and written
Self-starter,Proactive and Energetic, Problem Solver
GoodAttention to Detail
Organized,with Good Housekeeping Skills
Adaptable,Flexible, and Versatile
- Associates’degree or equivalent in an electrical discipline
Two (2) years or more of relevant experience inelectrical work.
