We are looking for an Experienced Connected Vehicle Engineer for the Allen Park Test Facility
BRIEF OUTLINE OF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Title: VEV Connected Vehicle Test Engineer
- The VEV (Vehicle Evaluation & Verification) team is seeking a Connected Vehicle Test Engineer to join our team. This position requires a highly motivated engineer who is interested in validating cutting-edge automotive technology. This individual will be a seasoned engineer with experience working with the latest technologies (in-vehicle data, smart phones, and web services) and skilled in testing end-to-end in-vehicle customer experiences.
Primary responsibilities include developing feature design verification plans, leading coordination of test activities, executing and reporting results to ensure features meet design requirements and customer expectations
Solve and Troubleshoot complex testing problems for on-board and off-board systems/platforms
Execute test plans and test cases based on requirements and/or discussions with Feature owners
Execute and troubleshoot test suites and generate appropriate documentation and test reports
Participate in getting key stakeholders (System engineers, D&R, supplier etc.) involved to drive issue resolution
Provide verbal and written test status updates to management and key Stakeholders
Collaborate with the development teams to ensure appropriate feature documentation is available

Here’s What You’ll Need:
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
BS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
2+ years of experience with Electrical Hardware and Software Testing
2+ years of experience with Design Verification Testing
2+ years of experience with CAN tools (ex. CANalyzer)
1+ years of testing experience with Infotainment / Mobile App verification
Skills and Abilities
Understand system specification, test cases and test requirements
Identify functional problems and troubleshoot to establish root cause
System, network application experience and understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocol.
Solving test problems using Network tools like CANalyzer, DET etc.
Qualified candidates will work well under pressure, demonstrate excellent problem solving and creativity, and be able to quickly evaluate new information and make appropriate decisions
Ability to work independently and with test technicians, skilled trades, and suppliers to resolve issues.
Strong communications skills with the ability to effectively liaison between multiple cross functional teams

Criticality of Attendance
Overtime, regular days, off days: Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 4:00 PM but must be able to support our flexible test schedule into other shifts and/or weekends
Shift, 1st, 2nd, 3rd: Day shift
Necessity for regular attendance: Critical
Urgency for punctuality: Critical
Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work afternoons to cover weekend testing requirements.
Other Essential Functions
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, PHMV exam and background check.
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers.
Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
