As a Vehicle Electrical Breadboard Test Engineer, you can be part of the exciting Electric Technology that is happening in the Automotive Industry. You will be working on the vehicles of tomorrow by using your knowledge and creativity to explore all the possibilities in a state of the art automotive test lab.

BRIEF OUTLINE OF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Test Engineer is responsible for reviewing electrical schematics and specifications to understand how electrical features are implemented in design, determining how they work, and defining how they should be wired/connected for subsystem level testing
Interface with Design and Release engineers and suppliers to understand the how the electrical features in the vehicle operate; Identify the critical signal requirements and interfaces necessary for feature to operate properly outside the vehicle
Develop a strategy to interface with the hardware to allow the functions to be simulated and tested outside the vehicle
Work with hardware engineers to support the buildup of a test/simulation bench
Stay up to date on new electronics and system being integrated into the vehicles
Develop efficiency improvement actions for the technical information gathering process
Work with the program team to get involved earlier in the planning process to support decisions making on build requirements
Research and recommend new lab improvements and sustainment strategies
Develop and enforce safe plans of actions for all test and facility activities
Working with complete vehicle bread boards alongside customers
Trouble shoot issues with the Bread Board
Re-flashing modules/ vehicle computer calibration
Adding or removing vehicle software
Proving out the Bread Board for customer use
Ensuring the Bread Boards have the proper and up to date electrical components and configuration
Support Bread Board builds

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or mechanical strongly preferred) from an accredited university
One (1) year of related experience OR a masters’ degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical strongly preferred) from an accredited university.
A candidate with a technical aptitude driven to get into the technical details of electrical designs and understand how they work
Strong technical aptitude specifically in the area of electrical signals and reading schematics
Knowledge of automotive electrical subsystems, sensors and wiring required
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.

Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, and adjust to changing requirements
High energy, self-starter, with ability and desire to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision.
