Jacobs is seeking an IA Systems Administrator with a current TS/SCI w/Poly. The position is located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides the technical management, operation, and maintenance of specialized and general Information Assurance systems used by the Government in supporting the mission of the organization.
Deploys or installs hardware and software, performs troubleshooting and user assistance.
Maintains operating systems and configuration of computer systems and network devices.
Assists Government with creation of custom system environments for IA related system prototyping and development of system assessment/hardening techniques and usage of related IA software tools.
Manages file servers, web servers, email servers, directory servers, workstations, storage devices, network routing/switching devices, and firewalls, including physical and virtual instances of each.
Manages servers and control / monitor user access to devices, applications, and Storage Area Networks.
Adds, deletes, and or modifies user access to network services, manages account profiles, permissions, and access to resources.
Analyzes, logs, tracks and resolves complex software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printer, servers, and applications to meet business needs.
Coordinates hardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure work is properly performed in accordance with company policy.
Recommends resolution to complex matters of significance and coordinates the implementation of the approved course of action.
Coordinates and monitors troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning.
Recommends course of action and implements as approved.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Working knowledge of several of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows, Linux, Solaris, Cisco IOS, Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, Disk SAN, server and network hardware and media (bladeservers, fiberchannel, and network cabling).
Familiarity with system services such as web hosting, directory services, email services, and database services.
4 years’ technical experience
Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Information Assurance/Cybersecurity may be substituted for 4 years of experience.
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
