Junior Talent Recruiter (Antwerp, Belgium)


Due to unprecedented growth in the Europe region, we are expanding our in-house Talent Acquisition team to support our business groups with large scale hiring initiatives.

Jacobs Belgium is active in exciting projects for (petro)chemical & refining clients that look for top notch project execution.

This position will support our continuous growth and be the Single Point of Contact delivery on the TA strategy within the following areas:


Business Partnering

  • Develop business stakeholder relationships for aligned projects/business groups to understand and identify ongoing hiring needs

  • Coach business stakeholders to be effective hiring managers to encourage a more efficient and impactful use of time (free up time for managers)

  • Fully understand business commercials to identify affordable and high value talent

  • Partner with the business and HR Delivery to understand workforce plans then use to identify priorities and strategic hiring needs

Recruitment Delivery

  • The development of candidate sourcing plans using all and any innovative direct candidate sourcing techniques simultaneously from multiple sourcing channels to unearth and engage with the best passive talent

  • Engage with Passive/Active candidates on a personal level to fully understands their aspirations and showcase Jacobs and the opportunities we present to demonstrate us as the destination employer of choice

  • Candidate shortlisting and screening to identify and match skills against role requirements

  • Submission of suitable candidates to hiring managers together with a full overview of skills, experiences and any developmental needs

  • Activity tracking via recruitment technology platform to continually improve performance and results

  • Support bids and or any project ramp up as needed

Proactive Talent Development

  • Collaborate with TA and central corporate marketing teams to develop effective marketing campaigns and tools relevant to the local market place. Project Jacobs as ‘the’ employer of choice and showcase the career options available at Jacobs

  • Develop Strategic candidate pipelines in line with longer term business needs

  • Map and Identify key competitors/players in the market, target and nurture ready for future hiring needs

  • Partner with suppliers as needed and manage a focused and effective multipronged approach to hiring

  • Train stakeholders as needed on the use of systems and newer innovations in hiring techniques and encourage to commutate marketing content to their networks. Social Media, business forums and posts etc.


  • With extensive recruitment experience in engineering sector, he/she must have worked in house for a large corporate organisation.

  • In depth direct sourcing and search skills with knowledge of multiple methods and technologies including social media but headhunting and direct networking remain the core skill.

  • Skilled in researching, sourcing and networking to develop candidate pools.

  • Familiar with applicant tracking systems (such as Taleo).

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of law and regulations as they pertain to hiring.

The resource will be based in our offices in Antwerp (Belgium).

Fluent in Dutch & English, speaking at professional level.
