Must have comprehensive understanding and application of Project Planning/Scheduling principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards. Performs work of complex scope. Works under general supervision, participates in setting assignment objectives; work is reviewed for adequacy on completion. Represents organization, interacting with internal and external personnel on significant matters. It is preferred, but not necessary, that candidates have project planning and scheduling experience in all or most of the following markets; consumer products, pulp & paper, foundry, power & utilities, grains, food & beverage, wind tunnels, warehouse data distribution, electronics, chemical, gas & oil. As part of multi-discipline project teams, this position will have Discipline Lead responsibilities to deliver planning and scheduling leadership within the teams. They will provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel. The successful candidate must have the ability to interact with clients, team members, and other disciplines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project Planner/Scheduler for Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects.

  • Facilitates multi-company interactive planning sessions

  • Creates and updates CPM schedules

  • Communicates schedule status on a regular basis via formal and informal meetings and reports

  • Analyzes CPM schedules and recommends work-arounds and schedule improvement ideas

  • Interacts with engineering and construction personnel to understand and communicate issues and conflicts that impact the schedule

  • Coordinate the project's earned value system with schedule updates

  • Uses knowledge of general application of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards to perform work of moderate scope and complexity referring to policies for guidance

  • Works under general supervision; work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracy

Qualifications

  • BS in Construction, Engineering or other related field is preferred

  • 4-6 years of related experience is required

  • Expert in Primavera P6 software as a 'hands-on' user required

  • Experience in engineering and/or construction work process and activity sequence required

  • Experience in using and understanding earned value progress required

  • Experience in all phases of home office engineering required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required

  • Knowledge of Cost Tracking/Forecasting a plus

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel knowledge is a plus)

  • Experience in Pulp/Paper and/or Consumer Goods Manufacturing is a plus

  • EPC or EPCM experience is a plus

  • Occasional Travel required

Candidate must have ability to work out of the Green Bay, WI or Appleton, WI office as necessary
