Working directly with the Client, Design and Construction Team, the CAD Manager is responsible for managing, facilitating, and executing the daily processes of developing and maintaining AutoCAD in the office/ client site/ construction site. Working as the main point of contact to designers and modelers for AutoCAD related items, the CAD Manager is accountable for delivering successful integration, design, construction, operations, and automation workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to maintain systems; order supplies and upgrade system capabilities as necessary
• Assist in the preparation of CADD drawings and concepts
• Maintain hardcopy and softcopy CADD files for all facilities
• Create and maintain standards and processes for the CADD network
• Train personnel in the operation of the CADD system
• Operate and maintain large format copiers and plotters
• Manage the space inventory management system database
• Produce, review, and analyze facility data
• Develop reports for senior managers integrating space occupancy with finance and real estate data
• Perform space utilization and allocation forecasting
• Provide technical oversight of facility projects
• Inspect contractor work for compliance with contract drawings
• Maintain project technical files
• Verify existing facilities for producing as-built drawings
• Research drawing archives in support of new projects
• Support project managers in discussions with A&E and construction contractors
• Provide other project information as necessary
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Qualifications
Required Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Autocad
• Knowledge of, or background in, basic construction processes and procedures
• Basic knowledge of primary disciplines involved in building design
• Working knowledge of and interest in AutoCAD requirements, processes, workflows, and best practices
• Advanced computer skills, especially concerning Microsoft Windows Applications and modeling software applications
• Strong written and verbal communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Ability to use time efficiently
Required Experience:
• US Citizenship required.
• Active TS Security Clearance
• Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience. Federal including DoD project experience preferred
• Valid drivers' license is required
