Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning-level aviation assignments

  • Perform electrical engineering design including computer modeling, calculations, and reporting

  • Prepare specifications and perform plan set production for airfield projects

  • Coordinate and collaborate with other aviation design professionals and disciplines as part of a cohesive design team

  • Perform bid-phase and construction-phase services such as answering requests for information, preparing design clarifications, reviewing shop drawings, and submittals

  • Attend site visits to perform engineering services to include construction quality, acceptance testing and construction management activities

  • Attend and participate in design team and client meetings

  • Attend industry-level training and collaboration events

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills

  • Registered Professional Engineer

  • Airfield lighting and power distribution experience

  • Computer-Aided Drafting and Engineering (CAD/CAE) knowledge

  • United States Citizenship

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • A passion for aviation

  • Unified Facility Criteria and Unified Facility Guide Specification experience

  • Familiarity or experience with design and analysis software such as SKM, AGi32, Revit, and ArcGIS
