At Jacobs our Mechanical Engineers utilize a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design. The mechanical team at Jacobs is tasked with the most interesting and complicated design challenges to help the Federal Government and Global Market Sector Clients fulfill their mission.

You will be responsible for leading less experienced people in developing building mechanical and plumbing systems designs to fulfill our clients’ mission in our key market sectors. You must have knowledge of mechanical & plumbing system configurations, and components of construction documents. Our Junior Mecanical Engineers will gain design experience in plumbing, chilled water, heating water and air side design for specialized spaces. Other related design services include coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering / internal and external). You will take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the assigned projects/tasks working in conjunction with a project managers, architects and other trades.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
At least 2 years relevant professional experience for buildings-related design projects
Engineer in Training (EIT)
Proficiency in Revit, 3D CADD
United States Citizenship
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Federal including DoD, Federal Civilian and/or Defense Contractor project experience
