As a Relocation / Move Specialist at our Huntsville, AL location, you'll:
Collaborate with Strategic Realignment Program Management Office (SRPMO), Division PMO, and transitioning units to ensure unit transition plans are accurate and up to date.
Collaborate with Division PMOs and individual units to develop a timeline for functions transitioning.
Survey and communicate regularly with impacted end users to determine appropriate move timelines across various divisions/units and to ensure little disruption throughout the move process.
Conduct pre-move surveys with end users to coordinate overall logistics; acts as a central point of contact.
Assist with the creation and development of move plans for the end users, demonstrating a keen ability to collect information and translate it into a comprehensive plan.
Assist with the development of a comprehensive “master” move plan across all end users.
Recommend standards for what the Client will assist with moving for end users.
Calculate and craft move-related cost estimates, including planning for cost-effective methodologies (ie, batch shipments), equipment protection, potential trucks, drivers, etc.
Understand the proper handling of various classification of materials, including unclassified, classified, TS, and TS-SCI.
Interpret, communicate and utilize the General Mailing Policy Guide (0944PG); to include, shipping of unclassified, secret and top-secret records/equipment.
Assist with the development and maintain a tracking and record keeping systems to accurately track; (1) shipping equipment (boxes, tape, labels, etc.), (2) shipments, (3) procurements, (4) associated cost and (5) invoices.
Manage Accountable Property in conjunction with Asset Management Unit to ensure items are not misplaced or lost.
Assist with the development of a “from” / “to” procedure and process to accurately track and account for shipments from outbound and inbound locations.
Have a system of labeling and itemizing boxes to ensure that they are easily identifiable/locatable.
Coordinate pick-up of moving materials.
Coordinate with Client mail management units and both locations to ensure process and procedures are accurately communicated and followed.
Coordinate with proper agencies to manage vacated spaces.
Coordinate decommissioning procedures for vacated space, equipment and furniture.
Interpret and properly execute surplus procedures of non-accountable vs. accountable property/inventory, and furniture.
Conduct market research for a vendor to decommission the vacated space, including removal of excess trash, non-accountable equipment, un-usable furniture and restore to “broom swept” condition for turnover to Client HQ’s.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Active, fully adjudicate SECRET security clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS clearance.
Prior move management experience required
Must have excellent communication skills and be very good in building and developing teams
Must be familiar with industry regulatory requirements related to move management
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent administrative skills
You must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Active TS security clearance.
