Our Program and Construction Management team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice and we are looking for an experienced Water/Wastewater Construction Project Manager to join our team.
This position is responsible for the coordination, execution, and completion of projects, and the oversight of all aspects of the assigned project work. The Construction Project Manager serves as the Owner’s Authorized Representative. The Construction Project Manager sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, reviews schedules in detail, monitors project work, supervises staff and provides performance accountability. The Construction Project Manager oversees and controls the administration of the contract by way of reports, meeting minutes, and project documents as required. The position chairs meetings, assigns inspections, and directs project administration. This position requires in-depth knowledge of construction contracts, the demonstrated ability to analyze claims, the ability to estimate and review contractor cost proposals, as well as the ability to render sound determinations as to entitlement. Written communication and detailed documentation is paramount, as well as the ability to lead a team and effectively communicate verbally.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited College or University or an Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school; and,
• At least 5 years of progressive project management experience with specific responsibilities in construction management, civil engineering, or mechanical engineering. Three of those years must encompass field experience at the management level, responsible for the supervision of technical staff, craftsman or engineers, and demonstrated hands on project experience with cost estimating & scheduling; or
• Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Valid driver’s license
• CCM (Certified Construction Manager) preferred
