As a Digital Delivery Lead in our Atlanta, GA office supporting the Water market you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of 3D modelling while implementing project automation standards and supporting the design team to efficiently deliver project design work. The Jacobs team is the largest water practice in the Atlanta market with a team of 125 determined, high-performing individuals working with most major metro-area clients on a vast array of projects You will work closely with engineers and designers of other disciplines to coordinate designs, ensuring that the completed, integrated product meets or exceeds client expectations. Working with other members of the team, you will resolve complex technical issues and help to define and maintain the technical standards around which others operate.

You will be responsible for preparing drawings and sketches with various CAD-BIM software, using appropriate design criteria and technical manuals. You will receive project assignments from local and remote lead engineers to perform project related tasks. You will prepare construction package drawings for Water/ Wastewater treatment infrastructure systems for our client facilities and coordinate your work with other disciplines as needed. You will take responsibility for assigned portions of the design scope, budget, and schedule and support work in other offices as needed. Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Certificate or vocational degree in BIM or related specialty.

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a designer, preferably in the water/wastewater industry or an industry with facility design that includes complex piping and equipment layouts.

  • Proficient in 3D modeling with Bentley OpenPlant Modeler, OpenBuildings, and dynamic views for 2D output.

  • Experience in setting up drawing templates and formats to comply with internal quality procedures and design standards.

  • Proficient in Windows based software and MS Office 2010 or higher.

  • Possess a positive attitude, are dependable with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet deadlines and provide a high quality of work.

  • Have good interpersonal communication skills.

  • Above average organizational skills and record keeping.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • College or university education in a technical field.

  • Prior experience as a BIM lead or similar role.

  • Experience with other Bentley platform tools – MicroStation, ProjectWise, OpenPlant P&ID, iModels.

  • Working knowledge of other disciplines in the water/wastewater industry, such as structural, architectural, building mechanical.

  • Familiarity with Autodesk platform tools such as Revit and Civil 3D is a plus.
