We are looking for a Mid-Level to Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team to provide engineering, design and consulting services for our southeast water/wastewater/water resource clients. You will engage on a variety of project assignments and serve our municipal, federal, industrial and other clients. This position is required to review planning/study documents, preliminary designs, detailed designs, plan reviews, and on-site observations. You will work on a wide variety of tasks both independently and with with peers in the Atlanta, GA office and throughout the company. • Researching, developing, designing, and testing a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for municipal water and wastewater needs

• Evaluate desired goals of systems and developing, designing, or selecting the required equipment, and power controls to achieve them

• Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for municipal applications

• Reviews Arc Flash assessments

• Prepares specifications and operating instructions for electrical equipment

• Develops one-line diagrams and control schematics

• Develops medium and low voltage power distribution systems and backup power generation systems

• Selection and layout of equipment, power distribution system load calculations, layout of interior and underground electrical distribution, grounding, and selection of variable frequency drives

• Design of facility wiring and lighting for process equipment rooms and administrative spaces

• Design knowledge of instrumentation and control systems

• Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects

• Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements

• Maintains effective communication with project team members

• May direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations, start-ups and commissioning services

• May use computer-assisted engineering and design software such as AutoCAD or Micro Station and SKM Power Tools for Windows to perform engineering tasks

• Responsible for performing all aspects of engineering and design

• Works with senior discipline experts in offices throughout the Southeastern United States under minimal supervision, work is reviewed for adequacy on completion

• Provide some technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Professional Engineering (PE) license

• At least 10 years relevant professional experience in Electrical Engineering

• Working knowledge and familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC) and requirements
