Jacobs Environmental Data Management Specialist- Remote in Atlanta, Georgia
As an Associate Level Environmental Data Management (EDM) Specialist you will have the responsibility of coordinating teams of Environmental Data Management & Analysis (EDMA) staff, as well as performing EDM work on exciting and fast paced client centric projects.
Working with other members of our team, you’ll develop and deliver complex technical solutions while applying your strong environmental data understanding and EQuIS expertise. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills, the ability to balance work on multiple tasks, and an enthusiasm for training and mentoring. Our Associate Level Environmental Data Management Specialists:
Develop and implement EQuIS data management solutions with Jacobs teams globally with the support of senior data management leadership and EQuIS subject matter experts.
Responsible for data management on multiple projects managing data workflows, deliverables, and EDM support
Contribute to the implementation, adoption, and development of data management best practices.
Demonstrate the competency to work on all phases of data management in EQuIS.
Work in a dynamic team environment with scientists, planners, engineers, and technologists.
Display attributes of a strong consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter that takes initiative, versatile, and has a client service mentality).
Develop and implement project plans, work assignments, and ensure product quality, on-schedule, on-budget, and safely.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Engineering, or directly related discipline.
1+ years of experience in environmental remediation field work
3+ years of experience using EQuIS software with knowledge of EQuIS modules including Professional, EDP, SPM, Collect, and Enterprise.
5+ years of experience in environmental data management
Experience with EQuIS software implementations in a consulting/industrial environment.
Experience setting up field teams for mobile data collection using EQuIS Collect
Some experience with database or programming platforms (for example, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Visual Studio, Visual Basic for Applications, HTML, JSON, Java/JavaScript, Python, R or similar).
Understanding of digital workflows ranging from project planning, mobile data collection, database management, data analysis, and data visualization.
