We are searching for a Lead Conveyance Engineer to join our team to deliver projects with key municipal clients throughout the Southeast region. The Lead Conveyance Engineer role is based in our Atlanta, GA office and will support projects across Georgia, throughout the Southeast region and around the world.
We are looking for someone who can use their vast knowledge of pipelines, pump stations, hydraulic structures, storage reservoirs, and/or valve structures and apply them to today’s challenges. You will have the opportunity to lead and work on studies, system designs, construction support, and other conveyance related projects. As a seasoned professional serving as a technical resource, the Lead Conveyance Engineer will work both independently and as a key team member - serving as a mentor to younger technical staff. You will support business development by meeting with clients and supporting project proposals. The position requires excellent technical skills combined with an acumen for project management, consulting, and client service.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other applicable engineering field
• Minimum of 15 years technical experience in water conveyance and hydraulic engineering that can include pipelines, pump stations, hydraulic structures, storage reservoirs, and/or valve structures
• Experience with hydraulic calculations and/or modeling
• Professional Engineering License
• Experience providing services during construction for conveyance projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (especially with teammates and clients)
• Demonstrated capability in client interface and managing relationships
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field
• Experience leading a design team as a project manager, design manager, senior technical resource, and/or client service lead
• Strong experience and market reputation in the southeast US water/wastewater market
