Your Impact:

The Jacobs office in Atlanta has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Manager for one of our largest clients in metro Atlanta. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating QC efforts of the contractors during construction, closeout, and occupancy, and responsible QA testing and surveying services. Summary of key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating QA oversight of the work being performed by the contractor(s).

  • Works in collaboration with the assigned RE's, ARE’s, Inspectors and Design Team.

  • Reviews and provides comments on the designer/contractor QC Plans.

  • Monitor quality and ensure compliance to regulatory and industry-specific standards while using your unique background and diverse perspective to help shape the success of project quality plans.

  • Review and resolve technical problems, ensure compliance on inspections, and help support field staff to ensure all quality inspections are complete.

  • Work with experienced QA/QC team members to complete contract documents, standards and specifications, while developing records and reports of inspections and assessments.

  • Other tasks as may be assigned

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience as QA/QC Manager, or similar experience

  • Ten years of design experience on large multimillion-dollar Transit/Transportation projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • Knowledge of Safety Plans, and QA/QC Plans and Project Procedures Manual

  • Effective oral and written skills for client presentations and technical reporting and correspondence.

  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of project team, client, and others.

  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration.

  • Some knowledge of scheduling, spreadsheets, documents, and database software (such as Unifier, P6, Excel, Word, Access etc.)

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Large portfolio/program management experience

  • NICET and/or ASQ Certificates
