Jacobs is seeking a Risk Manager to join our collaborative team in Dunwoody, GA. In this role, you’ll review and investigate claims, provide summary reports to the designated City representative, provide recommendations to reduce further claims, review insurance coverages and provide recommendations for coverage renewals, lead safety team made up of designees from other departments (Police, Public Works, Code Enforcement, Legal, etc.) to promote safe practices, review and analyze accident and claims trends, serve as accident review committee and partnering with City management, develop safety training programs for City operations as directed. You’ll also review RFPs to require appropriate insurance coverage in procurement contracts to protect the City, and review provided Certificates of Insurance for compliance with requirements.

• At least five years of experience in risk management, safety and claims management

• Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local risk management regulations

• Experience and advanced understanding of local government operations

• Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Bachelor’s degree

• Ability to communicate clearly in person and in writing

• Ability to coordinate multiple deadlines while working with and/or directing staff at all levels

• Experience working with elected officials

• Experience working in a public-private partnership
