As part of the transportation team your role will be responsible for engaging with Clients, teaming partner, business development focusing on successfully delivering quality work to our Clients.

The Sr. Project Manager position’s primary duties include working collaboratively as part of the Traffic Engineering Team. As a Sr. Project Manager your primary role will be to work with and oversee project teams to deliver traffic engineering projects. Analyses, participate on interdisciplinary teams, and prepare project deliverables with technical responsibilities in one or several of the following areas:

  • Traffic operations analysis and simulation

  • Traffic engineering studies

  • Traffic signal operations

  • Signal / ITS design

This role will be responsible for managing technical and financial aspects of Traffic/Transportation engineering projects with a focus on managing projects, developing client relationships, and building business development opportunities with existing and new clients in the region.

Project deliverables for these positions include, without limitation, technical reports, presentation slides, construction plans, specifications, proposals, and cost estimates.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Performing Project Management duties on traffic/transportation projects, from the start to finish, focusing on scope, project initiation/setup, schedule, quality, budget and safety.

  • Execute project performance and budget monitoring & reporting (internally and externally).

  • Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) of project delivery.

  • Manage project teams as developed per project requirements.

  • Provide internal mentoring and leadership to future team members as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a focus on Transportation or Traffic Engineering preferred and 8+ years relevant work experience as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, a focus on Transportation or Traffic Engineering preferred and 6+ years relevant work experience as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).

  • Professional Engineering Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification, a plus.

  • Project management and client relationship experience.

  • Strong, effective written, verbal and public-speaking skills.
