Your Impact:

The Jacobs office in Atlanta has an exciting opportunity for a Water Program Manager for one of our largest clients in metro Atlanta. As program manager, you will be directing of team of over 50 staff, comprised of several firms. Program Manager will be working from our client’s office and be responsible for day to day operations of the program. The Program Manager will have the chance to use your technical experience, manage projects, and mentor and direct staff on exciting and engaging in a variety of challenging infrastructure projects. Working with other members of our team, you’ll provide management and technical oversight for an onsite local program team, delivering project implementation activities related to water main replacement and extension; sewer line rehabilitation, replacement and extension; stormwater system improvements; pump station upgrades; and water reclamation facility improvements and also providing services such as utility locates, leak detection, structure condition assessments, etc., in support of the utility operations. During your time with us, you will also have the opportunity play a role in the business development activities leading to the award of program management contracts. This typically includes client relationship development, program-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, oral presentations, and contract negotiations consistent with established business development processes.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 15 years of related work experience

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline

  • Licensed professional engineer (PE) in Georgia or ability to gain reciprocity within 6 months.

  • Demonstrated expertise in water and sewer system engineering, utility operations, construction management, contract management, and claims analysis, and must have excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Experience in leading and managing a group of 15 or more people.

  • Demonstrated experience as a liaison between a public utility agency and the local and State of Georgia transportation departments on issues related to water and sewer relocations associated with road improvement projects.

  • Background in at least one of the following areas: water/wastewater design, construction contract administration and inspection, field services, as well as general Project Management responsibilities.

  • Experience in serving various clients involving a wide variety of fields including water, wastewater, water resources, consulting, design, and construction services
