Jacobs is continuing a path of major transformation from an engineering, design and construction professional services provider to a global solutions advisor and provider, with Digital capabilities at the core. As such, this role is a key pillar of the Jacobs APAC Digital Strategy and will have a central position in engaging our clients at the highest levels to understand and support their aspirations. Collaborating with your regional team and global counterparts you will offer innovative technology enabled, future focused and practical solutions.

In this role the successful person will:

  • Provide leadership and grow our Advanced Data and Analytics capabilities within Jacobs.

  • Leverage strong and trusted relationships to build and develop profitable workload pipeline alongside our key clients.

  • Assist building capability and capacity within our operations team(s) to address the strategic needs of our clients and to successfully deliver our projects.

The expectation is that this capability area will work closely with and offer pull-through benefits of not only other Digital capabilities (such as Intelligent Systems, Geospatial etc), but more broadly across the firm, including but not limited to, Strategic Consulting, Water, Power, Transport, Built Environment and Environmental.

This role is an essential part of cross sector engagement with relevant Client Account Managers, Market Directors and Operational Leaders to deliver and contribute to high quality and innovative solutions for Jacobs’ clients. You will leverage your global networks to identify and put forward Jacobs’ unique capabilities and resources whilst also applying them locally.

This role can be based in any of Jacobs major offices throughout APAC

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Ability and previous experience and/or exposure to growing an Advanced Data & Analytics practice capability: growing and developing profitable workload pipelines, enhancing client relationships, and supporting capability/capacity within teams.

  • Experience in leading the definition of, and capabilities required, in order to successfully build a practice in this area: working closely in a matrixed environment with other business groups (Sales, Operations etc.) to address the strategic needs of our clients and to successfully deliver our projects.

  • Domain and project expertise in the use and benefits of advanced analytics and visualisation. Ideally, in areas related to infrastructure, the built environment, water, transport, power or other sectors where Jacobs operates.

  • An understanding of how to unlock the value of data to solve for our clients’ wicked challenges, but also to create new business models, sources of revenue and so on.

  • Advising and supporting clients in developing their own digital and data maturity in this area.

  • It is likely you will have significant exposure to core capability areas such as:

  • Data analytics

  • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

  • Robotic Process Automation

  • Reporting / Data insights dashboards / visualisation

  • Digital Twin / process simulation

  • Video processing and analytics

  • Data commercial and new business models (IP / value creation – for Jacobs, and clients)

  • Predictive / preventative scenarios

  • Making sense of sensor (IoT or similar) data

  • Consulting, and Advisory services

  • Ability to develop & maintain a deep understanding of global and regional technology advances, industry trends and best practice. Ensure that Jacobs is at the forefront of these developments and that they are leveraged and applied consistently to win work and deliver it successfully.
