Due to ongoing project success in our New Zealand Transport region, we are now seeking an Associate Civil Engineer – Roads & Highways to help support the growth of the team. Reporting to the Section Leader – Roads & Highways, the role will work alongside Senior Associate and Principal Engineers taking a lead role with project delivery, design and project/task management activities, for positioning and winning projects involving a range of services.
The role will assist commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects. You will support leaders, in terms of team development and growth, building design capability and growing the portfolio. There will be a requirement to mentor and assist in the development of more junior Engineers, particularly training in the use of civil modelling / analysis software.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Key requirements for the role: -
Extensive civil design experience.
Strong knowledge of general civil design principles relating to roads and highways
In depth knowledge of local NZ road design standards and how to implement these standards on projects.
Knowledge of relevant road design software including: Autodesk CAD / Civil 3D / BIM 360, 12D, Navisworks, Bentley/Microstation/Open Roads
Experienced delivering and contributing to large multidisciplinary engineering projects through differing procurements methods and design stages.
