Your Impact:

We are looking for an Associate Hydrologist and Flood Modeller to help us deliver a strong pipeline of work ahead on high profile and challenging projects such as for Melbourne Water, Level Crossing Removals and Murray-Darling Basin floodplain restoration for our clients.

You will be playing a guiding role in our collaborative and dynamic team based in Melbourne but with flexible working arrangements available and encouraged, the successful applicant could be located in Australia or New Zealand.

We primarily support the South East Australia and New Zealand region on for major infrastructure, floodplain management, environmental waterway management and dam safety projects; however, we don’t let borders limit us.

We are looking for a person with the following attributes:

  • Able to provide leadership in our team by managing, motivating, coordinating and mentoring staff

  • A history fostering relationships client relationships and contributing to business development

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a range of hydrology and flood modelling projects through the entire project lifecycle

  • Demonstrated experience with the TUFLOW and RORB computer modelling packages as well other hydraulic and hydrologic software packages (e.g. HEC-RAS, Mike, Flike, XPRAFTS, URBS) would be desirable.

  • Competency in GIS packages such as QGIS, MapInfo or ArcGIS

  • An interest in looking to ‘do things differently’ to drive our culture of innovation

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, or experience deemed equivalent
