Jacobs IT CAD Administrator – Australia or New Zealand in Auckland, New Zealand

Our Global IT- Project Technology Solutions are seeking a CAD Administrator, technical specialist to support our AutoDesk DWG platform at Jacobs supporting across Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with our project teams you will play a key role in the implementation, configuration, and on-going support of IT technologies to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role supports a large numbers of CAD users across this region working on hundreds of projects across a broad range of industries.

You will be working across all Jacobs functional lines of business/projects across the region in supporting everything that runs on the Autodesk DWG platform. This role is especially suited to an experienced CAD Manager who manage CAD systems for a large Engineering Consultancy firm, (250-1000 CAD users)

This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely and further drive the use of BIM360 cloud technologies, to help support the business collaborate and deliver projects on AutoDesk DWG platform.

The location for this position is flexible and can be based anywhere in Australia or New Zealand – we are happy to accommodate a permanent working from home agreement if that's what is preferred also.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Experience of projects and consulting industry experience (VicRoads, PTV, RMS or other transport/ Water authorities in Australia)

  • Engineering Design and Construction industry experience coupled with relevant qualifications

  • Proficient use of BIM technology including file interoperability and information exchange process

  • Expert level experience with at least two of these AutoDesk applications AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Navisworks.

  • Experience in the configuration of CAD standard for a large enterprise, (maintaining standard CAD profiles, CAD Templates, Block Libraries, Content Libraries e.t.c.)

  • Experience in the configuration and interoperability of AutoCAD products with ProjectWise or BIM 360 will be highly desirable

  • Experience with LISP, VBA, .NET, Dynamo is also highly desirable, ideally you will have an IT/Programming mind set or desire to self-learn this skill in your career

  • Previous CAD Manager experience highly regarded

  • Excellent communication skills to communicate and effect changes and improvements

  • Problem solving
