Jacobs Principal Planner and Environment Sector Lead - New Zealand in Auckland, New Zealand

We are ready for our next stage of growth. The Environment Sector Lead for New Zealand is a new role that will be empowered and supported to lead this growth.

  • As the Environment Sector Lead for New Zealand, you will:

  • Lead the identification, pursuit and conversion of opportunities for consulting opportunities with our focus clients

  • Visibly represent Jacobs at relevant industry forums

  • Collaborate proactively with the Jacobs Growth & Sales team, other members of the Environmental Solutions ANZ business and colleagues from our adjacent capabilities

  • Support other colleagues to build their market and client connectivity

  • Work with our marketing team to strengthen our brand

  • Take on project leadership roles on Environmental Solutions or adjacent capability projects such as Project Director, Technical Lead or Strategic Advisor.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Recognised leader in planning or environmental consulting in the New Zealand market

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, lead and convert the pursuit of opportunities

  • Inclusive leadership with an ability to collaborate with and influence others across a diverse business

  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen

  • An understanding of Te Ao Māori

  • Coaching and mentoring skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications such as a planning or environmental science degree
