Our APAC Energy & Advisory business is at the forefront of enabling our clients to respond to and meet their sustainability, decarbonisation, and energy transition challenges. The team has the important job of supporting our clients through cutting edge economic and energy market modelling, forecasting and analytical capability. They possess deep strategic, policy and technical expertise, which enables them to analyse and solve some of our clients’ most challenging problems. Here’s What You’ll Need:
The Senior Associate is an exciting opportunity to support the development and execution of growth strategies that will advance our APAC Energy & Advisory offering. The focus is on managing the overall development and delivery of projects with particular emphasis on energy transition, business analysis, economic analysis, design and application of regulatory frameworks and business case preparation. You’ll have the autonomy to manage client relationships, whilst identifying, securing and overseeing the delivery of strategic advisory opportunities across the APAC region. Hopefully you’re someone who enjoys team mentoring and development to enable succession planning, a key part of our culture at Jacobs.
We understand flexibility is important, that’s why we’re open to part time and flexible options including hybrid working to suit you, hopefully coming to the office for team building or meeting with clients. We’re looking for someone with the following skills and experiences:
Experience in undertaking electricity market modelling and understanding of energy market economics, along with energy/regulatory frameworks applicable to power generation and distribution at state and national levels.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A team player and a good communicator of complex modelling results to technical and non-technical clients and colleagues.
An understanding of quantitative modelling, along with exceptional research skills.
An ability to engage with senior officials across government and industry clients.
Strong mathematics, statistics, VBA programming skills and Python/R experience is highly desirable.
Quantitative modelling skills, including PLEXOS modelling skills highly desirable.
Relevant Tertiary Degree.
