Jacobs Senior Project Manager in Auckland, New Zealand

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Auckland team, working on various projects across the Water, Transport, Power & Energy and Buildings sectors. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the management of medium to large scale projects for our clients.
The right candidate will further strengthen our existing Project Management offering, through their proven ability to foster team and client relationships to deliver repeat and future work-winning and exceeding our clients’ expectations.
Managing internal and external teams to deliver complex engineering design packages of work
Monitoring time, cost and budget with excellent change control
Reporting and monitoring of project financial performance
Preparing cost estimates and drawing lists for projects
Ensuring quality reviews are completed to the required standards
Leadership, supporting and co-ordinating teams to produce quality design deliverables
Updating management systems to meet company requirements
Ensuring compliance with the project scope of works, statutory/regulatory requirements and client standards
Supporting field work of clients and contractors
Managing the review of drawings and documents by Senior Designers and Engineers
Interfacing with the various engineering disciplines and leadership teams
Building strong client relationships
Mentoring and developing junior colleagues
Supporting project bids
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
A good understanding of project structure and roles and responsibilities for various project types including sole supplier, design and build, joint ventures and alliances
High levels of integrity and the capacity to manage commercially sensitive information confidentially
Motivation and drive, commitment and resilience in the face of change and adversity
Experience engaging subcontractors and subconsultants
Have worked at a Consultancy with 10-20 years of relevant industry experience
Hands on project management and design management experience
Business acumen and commercial understanding, being able to identify and manage opportunities and risk
Experience bidding for work and developing internal and external relationships
Have a strategic and innovative mindset
