We are looking for a Senior Civil Site/Land Development CAD Designer to join the team in AUSTIN.

Our central Texas team in Austin is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice therefore we have a need for a Senior Designer/Drafter to assist on several of our Civil Engineering projects.

You'll perform design/drafting assignments, requiring advanced working knowledge of design standards, practices and techniques using AutoCAD Civil 3D while working collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians, EITs, and Engineers with minimal supervision. You'll provide direction and general guidance to graduate EITs as required and actively promote and contribute to the successful completion of projects from initial concept, through the planning process to implementation along with compiling data and performing dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.. You'll assume responsibility and meet or exceed deliverable deadlines based on pre-determined schedule. You'll produce quality deliverables based on local code standards and Engineering input while efficiently utilizing time in executing assigned tasks accurately and within the budget.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Design/drafting experience on site/civil projects

  • Design/drafting experience in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Minimal travel required; work closley with other Jacobs Engineering offices throughout Texas

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

  • Associates degree in Design or Drafting
