Your Experience will include:
Collaborating with a team of engineers with a diversity of skills, experience, and backgrounds, who will train and mentor you.
Utilizing well-defined company standards and procedures.
Working on local and regional highway and rail projects.
Gaining valuable experience on multiple projects for multiple clients.
Your Responsibilities may include:
Performing myriad duties for the Structures department, including drafting of construction plans using Microstation
Preparing geometric and structural design calculations
Providing construction phase services (shop drawing and RFI review, meeting minutes)
Assisting in local bridge and tunnel inspections (taking field notes, drafting and editing final reports, organizing reports, and packaging submittals).
Working with multiple software packages including Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, Pdf Exchange, Mathcad, Teams, and OneNote.
Gaining exposure to structural analysis software depending on class/work experience.
Be currently enrolled at an accredited university, as a Civil or Structural Engineering major.
A demonstrated interest in civil transportation structures.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must work well in a group or team atmosphere.
Excellent organization and critical thinking/problem solving skills. Must be willing to ask questions and organize thoughts or solutions during tasks.
Be able to work independently from home, using Teams, as required.
Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
Microstation experience is desired.
