About the opportunity:

This role will be responsible for driving the strategy of the Jacobs Enterprise Asset Solutions (EAS) performance unit based in the Humber area. The role will encompass leading the front-end sales team to ensure compliance with the relationship-based sales process and driving growth. The successful candidates will become part of a respected and ambitious team working from our Humber facility within Enterprise Solutions to support the growth and sustainability of the performance unit moving forward. EAS are offering a truly fantastic opportunity which will allow the successful individual to be involved across multiple client sectors from early game through to handover to delivery team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong operational experiences within industry looking to further their career and professional development within a growing and forward-thinking business. Based primarily at our Barton upon Humber office with regular attendances on local Humber and Yorkshire based client sites as well as visiting client and Jacob’s offices within the UK. You will work in the role of strategy and capture manager engaging directly with the clients, supporting the Operations Director overlooking the strategy and forecasting of the business and being accountable for delivering the EAS business strategy.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities will be:

  • Generate & deliver the short-, medium- and long-term business strategy (defined from business plan target areas);

  • Engagement with the wider Operation Directors and Company Growth & Strategy Manager;

  • Conduct periodic reviews of the business strategy to ensure it remains current;

  • Responsible for the overall tender process, procedures, and their implementation for Front End Sales;

  • Management of internal & external communications & presentations;

  • Collation and ownership of project proofs;

  • Management of internal stakeholder mapping & relationships (zipper plans etc);

  • Responsibility for compliance with the sales process and the various tender reviews and governance.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Expert communicator in all forms;

  • Industry experience of the Humber and Yorkshire area;

  • Possibly currently in operations role looking for movement into sales and strategy role for experience and professional development;

  • Self-starter, able to deliver to tight deadlines;

  • Awareness of sales processes in previous roles and tender processes;

  • Relationship centric;

  • Active listener;

  • Strategic mindset.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Degree in Engineering or Project Management desirable;

  • Experience or alignment with Business Development or a Strategic Management role;

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience related to an operational or management role;

  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organization;

  • Experience of presenting to Clients and stakeholders;

  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management;

  • Ability to gain relevant security clearance
