About the Opportunity

Due to growth in the current portfolio within National Operations of Enterprise Asset Solutions (EAS), we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our client facing team delivering projects across a number of existing and new Projects around the country. The successful candidates will become part of a respected and ambitious team working from our Humber facility within Enterprise Solutions to support the growth and sustainability of the performance unit moving forward. EAS are offering a truly fantastic opportunity which will allow the successful individual to be involved across multiple client sectors from inception through to final delivery.

The role involves managing a large proactive mechanical team of both Engineers and Field based delivery team for the business reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Your role will allow you to support the business in in a period of exciting growth within new emerging markets, and also within well-established markets with our long standing client base. The individual will be engaged in multiple diverse projects within a range of market sectors including renewables, clean energy, defence, water utilities and national infrastructure.

Based primarily at our new Barton upon Humber office with regular attendances on local Humber and Yorkshire based client sites as well as on numerous sites and Jacobs offices around the UK. You will work in the role of a Senior Project Manager engaging directly with multiple clients, overlooking budgets and programmes being accountable for delivering contracts and supporting our tendering, engineering, and design departments to deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget whilst adding value through innovation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading a Mechanical team within the Operational performance unit.

  • Supporting the Operation Director and Senior team with the sustainable growth of the business.

  • Providing facilitation, leadership, mentoring and coaching to enhance the team’s general capability.

  • Clear and concise communication and presentation skills.

  • Lead the production of proposals and tenders in accordance with client and Jacobs commercial requirements and governance.

  • Work in a safe and sustainable manner, adhering to the highest professional standards whilst ensuring accountability for safety, and making sure our staff ‘always do the right thing’ and maintain robust HSE behaviours and cultures.

  • In conjunction with technical leads and Designers produce and maintain project baselines (scope, cost and schedules).

  • Provide robust financial and project reporting.

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience related to an engineering or management role.

  • Chartered or working towards a registered body.

  • Excellent understanding of construction contracts.

  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of relevant Health and Safety and Environment legislation including CDM and the actions required to achieve compliance here.

  • Robust Knowledge of Project Management processes and techniques. Member of APM, RICS, RIBA is advantageous.

  • Strong understanding or can provide working knowledge evidence of managing task co-ordination of teams using engineering design software.

  • UK Citizenship.
