Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practices regionally and we have a need for an engineering intern in our Baton Rouge. This position serves in a support role to engineers and project managers on water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. This individual will be a part of a dynamic team and will participate in the design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients. This individual will both work independently and with peers as part of a team. This position should be a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project while delivering transformative projects for our clients, in our diverse and fast-paced office.
Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of senior level engineers.
Perform a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
Make field trips and conduct field audits.
Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
Prepare planning, engineering and/or construction documents, reports, studies, and calculations.

In pursuit of a Bachelor or Masters of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management in an ABET accredited program
Must be at least a Sophomore in Fall 2023
Interest in Water / Wastewater
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Minimum of a 2.8 GPA
Field experience
A previous internship related to your field of study
Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
Self-driven time management and organizational skills
