Jacobs HSE Supervisor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Office HSE Supervisor is responsible for implementing the corporate Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) programs in an assigned area or facility under the direct supervision of a HSE Manager. The HSE Supervisor will develop a thorough working knowledge of the HSE functions to support implementation of corporate policy and procedures, and governmental HSE practices.
As primary responsibility is to maintain company data base(s) of information regarding company HSE programs.
Monitor and document the compliance status of the office with Company and regulatory agency HSE requirements by conducting regular HSE surveys and audits as designated by HSE Manager.
Act as the primary point-of-contact and resource for office personnel in regard to HSE issues.
In conjunction with the HSE Manager, develop and implement an Office HSE Plan.
In conjunction with the HSE Manager, develop and implement an Office Emergency Response Action Plan.
Collect, review, and track safety information related to office Safety.
Maintain safety awareness by distributing HSE alerts, update HSE bulletin boards, etc.
Support the HSE Manager to prepare and distribute a monthly HSE reports.
Respond and ensure that injuries occurring in the office are given immediate medical attention.
Conduct Incident investigations and provide report material including causal analysis. Ensure that accident reports are completed and submitted for review in a timely manner.
Ensure that accidents and incidents are promptly reported to the appropriate HSE Manager.
Maintain current First Aid/CPR certification and provide services as required.
Support the office manager and/or HR with their delivery of HSE orientation when new employees are assigned to the office.
Participates in emergency office drills as established in the ERP.
Provide a review function to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and procedures specific to building safety requirements.
Knowledge of HSE functions and HSE Core Processes. (Planning, Training, Auditing and Measurements).
Knowledge of governmental HSE standards, procedures, rules and regulation for the construction industry. Specific knowledge of OSHA’s Qualified and Competent Person designations.
Skill in verbal and written communication.
Basic knowledge of software applications creating spreadsheets with mathematical functions, and enhancing presentation reports.
Minimum of 2 to 5 years construction experience in the petrochemical industry.
Ensure Jacobs safety policies are being implemented at St Croix refinery by Jacobs onsite team
Conduct daily safety observations
Evaluate the Jacobs onsite team to ensure that they are working safely
Identify and correct any unsafe conditions prior to the Jacobs team entering the units
This is a site position in St. Croix\

Must have the ability to communicate effectively with management and supervision.
