Prepare technical work (reports, design drawings, specs) for various types of landfills and solid waste handling facilities. Work in various aspects of solid waste and environmental projects, that may include construction quality assurance of landfill cell construction and/or closure, monitoring well installation, groundwater sampling, landfill gas control and collection system design, landfill gas monitoring, landfill gas balancing, landfill inspections, and associated various environmental permits and plans. Interact with external stakeholders (clients, regulators, and/or subcontractors). Utilize data analytics tools to maximize efficiency and accuracy of project delivery. Perform qualitative/quantitative reviews of field investigations, analytical data, landfill design and various associated reports and deliverables. Deliver various solid waste design, construction, and compliance projects. Contributes to technical pursuits and proposals. Utilize various controlling environmental regulations (e.g., Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Toxic Substances Act Control Act, Clean Water Act) and how they impact the services provided to clients.

Telecommuting is allowed.

TRAVEL: 15% domestic travel required for groundwater and landfill gas monitoring, site inspections, gas balancing, quality inspection, and sub consultant oversight roles.

Here’s what you’ll need :

-Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Environmental Engineering or closely related field

  • 10 years of work experience as an Environmental Engineer or closely related occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Expertise/ knowledge of:

-AutoCAD and Civil3D.

-Ability to apply technical skills to prepare 3D models.

-Write technical reports and develop drawings and specifications for design projects.

-Data visualization and analytics using Power BI and Python.

-Lead field teams on various aspects of landfill compliance, design, and remediation projects.

-Various controlling environmental regulations (e.g., Resource Conservation, Recovery Act (RCRA), Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Clean Water Act (CWA)). Hydrologic Evaluation of Landfill Performance (HELP) software. Geological Integrated System (GIS) software. Field Team Lead for multi-media sampling projects.

The base salary range for this position is $93,288 - $145,425. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
