We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, doer/seller to join our Ports & Maritime Team within our growing Engineer Dive and Ports & Maritime Group as a Principal Engineer Diver/Project Engineer in the Pacific Northwest. This position is for candidates with current experience as an engineer diver who are looking for a unique opportunity to work with an ENR top-rated Ports and Maritime global practice and to help build a team of engineer-divers and grow the Ports & Maritime practice in the Pacific Northwest.

The candidate can expect the potential to work on travel assignments supporting existing contracts with the US Navy and other global clients. Potential candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Seattle, WA or the surrounding metro area.

Work Expectations:

  • Drive new opportunities for waterfront condition assessment and asset management in the region.

  • Manage and support technical tasks within projects, this involves working closely with our regional ports lead and project teams in different activities including project delivery tasks, project management and project engineering support.

  • Interface with clients and project stakeholders.

  • Lead field inspection teams with strong communication skills.

  • Work collaboratively with structural engineers and CAD technicians.

  • Solve engineering problems and challenges.

  • Direct project tasks or manage projects and participate in client presentations and proposal efforts.

The base salary range for this position is $110,800 to $193,900. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • achelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college.

  • Experience designing and analyzing waterfront structures.

  • Experienced in working within teams within fast-paced environment.

  • Professional Engineer License (or the ability to obtain one within one year).

  • Commercial Diving Experience and ADCI Certification.

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills (samples of writing to be provided by applicants)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently.

  • Project management and structural design experience strongly preferred.
