Within our North Performance Unit, we are excited to announce a career opportunity for the South Puget Sound – Water Market Growth Leader . In this role, you’ll focus on continuing to grow Jacobs’ presence in the South Puget Sound, with a focus on all services offered from Jacobs – including, but not limited to the Water Market. At Jacobs, we collaborate across all markets to bring the best solutions to our clients, inclusive of all markets. This role will directly report to the Water Market Leader and will work in partnership with Operations and Sales Leadership to support delivering the North Performance Unit business plan, goals, and strategies.
As our South Sound Growth Leader , you’ll be responsible for maintaining client relationships and leading and/or supporting project delivery and strategic market growth throughout the South Sound. You’ll collaborate with our Operations and Client Account Management teams to develop and deliver solutions for our clients. You’ll have the opportunity to guide strategic business relationships to win work with new clients and sustain and grow new work with existing clients. We’ll rely on you to advocate on our client’s behalf by actively engaging the firm to address client needs while recommending strategic actions to optimize our business development investment and market growth. You’ll be accountable for balancing a winning combination of project delivery work, business development, and client relationship management. The team will look to you to facilitate collection of our knowledge regarding the client and their needs and set growth strategy and priorities for our business with the client.
This position assumes moderate travel within the South Sound region that may range from 20-30% on average per month, or as required for essential business. Travel to Bellevue to conduct primarily internal business coordination is anticipated to be on a quarterly basis, on average.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in related field.
Minimum 15 years of prior experience and knowledge working with South Puget Sound municipal clients on infrastructure needs. Additional experience in the broader Puget Sound area is a plus.
Ability to develop and implement a growth strategy, coach/mentor and motivate the team, and reach back within Jacobs to offer best-in-class solutions.
Proven track record of coordinating teams and winning work in the South Sound.
High-level existing contacts and strong relationships with public and private clients in the South Sound.
Sales knowledge on how to identify opportunities in advance of RFPs/solicitations, experience supporting interview teams and overall strategy to win new work.
Technical background/experience in delivering or managing projects of various sizes and levels of complexity.
