We are looking for a driven and curious Process Mechanical Engineer to work on water/wastewater projects in the Puget Sound Region.

As a Senior Process Mechanical Engineer in Bellevue, Washington you will work with a core group of water/wastewater engineers and designers on studies, designs, and field assignments to deliver innovative solutions to challenging technical problems that our clients face.

You will work collaboratively with our team to complete the following:

  • Evaluation and selection of process equipment, pumping systems, pipe materials, and valves

  • Development of facility layouts and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)

  • Development of construction documents, including drawings and specifications

  • Data analysis and hydraulic modeling

  • Technical report writing

  • Construction services support

  • Field inspection of mechanical equipment

You will also use your leadership skills to work with diverse teams to deliver challenging projects while serving and developing clients across the United States and internationally. The base salary range for this position is $92,000 to $161,000 for an Associate level position, between $110,800 to $1193,900 for a Careel level and $133,800 to $234,200 for a Senior level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with water, wastewater and/or industrial treatment, including planning, evaluations, and design

  • Educational emphasis and a strong interest in mechanical system design and operation

  • Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience specific to municipal wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems

  • Master’s degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline

  • 12 or more years of direct experience as a process mechanical engineer for water/wastewater treatment projects

  • Hydraulic modeling skills (e.g. AFT Fathom, Pipe-Flo)

  • Construction or facility operations experience

  • Ability to serve as the technical liaison between the project owner and design team
