As a vital member of our Roadway/Highways transportation team, our entry-level Roadway Engineers serve in key technical roles on roadway design projects performing design for various aspects of transportation projects on local, state, regional and national projects. We are looking for a self-motivated professional with strong technical skills with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally.

You’ll be part of diverse multi-discipline teams in the delivery of transportation planning, and highway design projects. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career working with our established clients while supported by local and national resources, including Jacobs extensive network of technical experts.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Familiarity with roadway design principles

  • Familiarity with CAD software

  • Interest in taking on design challenges learning new skills

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • EIT certificate

  • Experience with roadway design including horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage design, estimating, specification writing, and developing other roadways components incorporated into a set of construction plans

  • Working knowledge of federal and state design guidelines and design procedures

  • Experience with MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, or Open Bridge Designer
