About the Opportunity

We have fantastic opportunities to join our Decommissioning & Regeneration Solutions (D&RS) business across multiple frameworks and customers. Preferred locations would be Birchwood (Warrington), but hybrid and prepared to occasionally travel and work on client sites is essential. You will be advising clients on how to deliver in accordance with their Asset Management requirements in a highly regulated environment considering the age of asset, budget restrictions and available infrastructure. The D&RS business provides an exciting mixture of consultancy, engineering, front end engineering design and project management support, along with delivery of challenging decommissioning related EPC projects, to major clients in the UK across both the civil nuclear and defence industries, including Dounreay, Sellafield Limited, and Magnox (NRS).

We are very proud to have supported these clients for many years, and our partnering arrangements will enable us to sustain and enhance this support in the long-term. We also deliver a number of projects for other private companies and academia needing decommissioning solutions.

As an Asset Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients optimize their asset management processes and practices. Your responsibilities will include analysing client organizations, recommending improvements, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You’ll collaborate with clients, streamline workflows, and contribute to the sustainable resilience of their assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement and Analysis:

  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and enable ISO 55000 compliance.

  • Conduct maturity or gap assessments to evaluate the current status of asset management practices.

  • Analyse asset performance history, maintenance costs, and failure patterns.

  • Recommendations and Process Improvement:

  • Provide actionable recommendations to bridge performance gaps and enhance processes, procedures, systems, and infrastructure to meet client and stakeholder requirements.

  • Identify Internal people development requirements to support building a skilled asset management team within Jacobs

  • Asset Management Strategies and Workflows:

  • Develop asset management strategies tailored to client needs.

  • Experience in creating and managing Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP)

  • Efficiently manage assigned systems within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS). Note: experience in Mainsaver preferred but not essential.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Automation and Optimization:

  • Drive improvements by automating operations and maintenance tasks.

  • Optimize asset performance to achieve optimal results.

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Streamline data capture and reporting of KPIs related to asset management principles.

  • Monitor availability, downtime, and schedule compliance.

  • Digital Skills and Tools:

  • Leverage digital tools for data analysis, reporting, and communication.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools, and cloud-based platforms.

  • Organizational Change and Coordination:

  • Support the implementation of asset management organizational changes across client assets and sites.

  • Coordinate efforts to enhance equipment reliability and maintainability.

  • Refine maintenance processes to ensure long-term sustainability.

Here’s what you’ll need :

· Membership and engagement with the IAM, SMRP or equivalent, stays current with advancements in the Asset Management field, e.g. MIAM or CMRP membership

· Proven work experience as an Asset Manager in a highly regulated environment or in a similar role.

· Commitment to safety throughout their work.

· Strong digital literacy and ability to adapt to new technologies.

· Understanding and experience of leading asset management related programmes, setting strategy and linking to business key performance metrics

· Possess a clear understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Design for Reliability (DfR) Principles

· Understanding (and experience) of deploying asset management throughout the lifecycle of an asset, including whole life cost model through the early design stages and preparation in to handover to in-service (operational) phases including life extension and decommissioning

· Building positive/effective relationships with clients and co-workers and demonstrates focus on satisfying both internal and external customers
