About the Opportunity

The project controls team are an integral part of the company, providing direct support to Project Managers and multi-disciplinary engineering teams across a range of diverse and complex programmes. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Planner to join our Decommissioning and Regeneration business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The production and development of project schedules from project defined scope.

  • To Resource and cost load the schedules in line with the project estimate.

  • The production of a project schedule baseline and the continuous update and monitoring of the project baseline through change control.

  • To produce BCWS ‘Budget Cost of Work Scheduled’ information from the project schedule.

  • To provide project resource utilisation requirements from the project schedule to assist the project delivery timescales.

  • To hold/attend regular project schedule reviews with the project teams to monitor delivery of the project schedule, circulating look-ahead information and implementing recovery plans as required.

  • To provide regular progress updates producing BCWP ‘Budget Cost of Work Performed’ information for earned value, SPI ‘Schedule Performance Indices’ and SV ‘Schedule Variance’ for project performance.

  • To liaise with the cost engineer to accurately assess the financial status of the project to the required level on the project schedule, producing CPI ‘Cost Performance Indices’ and CV ‘Cost Variance’ for project performance.

  • To produce project schedule forecasts, advising the project team in areas of critical path analysis, risk, slippage to dates and milestone delivery and overall project completion.

  • To supply any required information to support the Project Manager in preparation of any monthly status reports as directed.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Significant Project Planning / Scheduling Experience.

  • An Engineering / Project Management Qualification or equivalent.

  • A proven track record of successful delivery within the planning function using planning tools such as Primavera.

  • Experienced in planning from design through to construction & site works.

  • Ability to develop schedules as a lead role and as part of a wider project team.

  • Engagement and development of strong relationships with client senior managers, regulators and other stakeholders, including internal Jacobs management.

  • Ability to support framework team developing and delivering projects.

  • Develop project plans for the purpose of project execution and control.

  • Experience in producing and managing programmes in accordance with the NEC contract.
